To decrease or increase the intensity of taps do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Put on your Apple Watch and unlock it. Keep in mind that for the best haptic results, the back of the watch needs skin contact. Open the<em> Apple Watch<\/em> app, tap the <em>My Watch<\/em> tab, then tap <em>Sounds &amp; Haptics<\/em>. Under <em>Haptic Strength<\/em>, drag the slider to adjust the intensity of haptic notifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><em>Warning:<\/em><\/strong> If you&#8217;re wearing your Apple Watch and you don&#8217;t feel a tap as you adjust the slider, contact Apple Support.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span id=\"Add_an_Extra_Tap\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Add an Extra Tap<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">To add extra emphasis to haptic alerts, you can turn on the <em>Prominent Haptic<\/em> feature. The <em>Prominent Haptic<\/em> will send you an additional haptic tap that pre-announces some of your other haptic alerts. You can turn on <em>Prominent Haptic<\/em> from your iPhone or your Apple Watch. To do so:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Open the <em>Apple Watch<\/em> app from your iPhone.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Next tap the<em> My Watch<\/em> tab.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Then tap <em>Sounds &amp; Haptics<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Turn on <em>Prominent Haptic<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Open <em>Settings<\/em> from your Apple Watch.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Once in <em>Settings<\/em>, tap <em>Sounds &amp; Haptics<\/em> on the Apple Watch face.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Now turn on <em>Prominent Haptic<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span id=\"How_to_Mute_Apple_Watch\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>How to Mute Apple Watch<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>You can mute your Apple Watch from <em>Settings<\/em> or <em>Control Center<\/em>, for this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open <em>Settings<\/em> on your watch.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <em>Sounds &amp; Haptics.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Turn on <em>Silent Mode<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Now go to the watch face and swipe up to open <em>Control Center<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>In <em>Control Center<\/em>, tap the\u00a0<em>Silent Mode<\/em> icon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">To silence an alert or notification as it sounds, rest your palm on the display for at least three seconds or until you feel a tap. If the procedure doesn&#8217;t work, see if the <em>Cover to Mute<\/em> setting is on. For this, on your iPhone, open the <em>Apple Watch<\/em> app, go to the<em> My Watch<\/em> tab and tap <em>Sounds &amp; Haptics<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span id=\"How_to_Turn_on_Do_Not_Disturb_Mode\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>How to Turn on Do Not Disturb Mode<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em>Warning:<\/em> Do Not Disturb mode doesn&#8217;t turn off the alarms.<\/p>\n<p>To keep calls and alerts from sounding or lighting up the screen follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn on <em>Do Not Disturb<\/em>.
