As soon as you tap<em> Friends<\/em>, the <em>Friends<\/em> screen appears, showing the current contacts&#8217; assigned friend status.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Tap one of the <em>Add Friend<\/em> buttons. If no <em>Add Friend<\/em> button is available, remove an existing friend, as the maximum number of friends you can assign is twelve.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">The <em>Contact<\/em> screen appears.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">You can tap <em>Groups<\/em> to change the groups displays.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">You can also search for a contact by tapping <em>Search<\/em> and typing par of the name.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Tap the contact you want to add, and the contact will appear on the <em>Friends<\/em> screen.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Add other friends as needed.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Tap <em>Edit<\/em>, and the <em>Friends<\/em> list opens to editing.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Tap <em>Remove<\/em> for a contact you want to remove from the <em>Friends<\/em> list, and the <em>Remove<\/em> button will appear.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Tap <em>Remove<\/em>. The <em>Add Friend<\/em> button will appear in place of the contact.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Tap a movement handle and drag up or down to re-position a friend, then tap <em>Done<\/em>, and the editing controls will disappear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p lang=\"fr-CA\">Note that you can also remove a friend without opening the Friends list for editing. Simply swipe the friend to the left to display the <em>Remove<\/em> button. Then tap <em>Remove<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Making_the_Friends_Screen_Easier_to_Navigate\">Making the Friends Screen Easier to Navigate<\/span><\/h2>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\" style=\"text-align: justify\">To make the <em><span lang=\"fr-CA\">Friends<\/span><\/em> screen on Apple Watch easier to navigate, if you do not fill all twelve slots on the Friends screen, rearrange the friends so that gaps appear between them.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Circle_of_Friends_Is_Gone\">Circle of Friends Is Gone!<\/span><\/h2>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\" style=\"text-align: justify\">Very important warning: Note that on Apple Watch under watchOS 3, the Friends feature, which was available under prior versions, is no longer included. Even more, there is no direct replacement for the Circle of friends. When placing calls or sending new messages, contacts can instead be selected via the Phone and Messages apps or by using Siri: When Apple Watch was released, the Circle of friends, that circular wheel of friends&#8217; faces was described as one of the Watch&#8217;s biggest features. Apple announced that the Circle of friends was so important as to be accessed by clicking one of the only two physical buttons on the device. In September 2016, however, Apple did not even mention the complete removal of this interface from the system. The company simply noted that the <em>Side Button<\/em>\u00a0was now the entryway to the Apple Watch&#8217;s &#8220;Dock&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\" style=\"text-align: justify\">In fact, the Dock is a very familiar metaphor to Apple users, a prominent user interface addition on OS X, macOS, and iOS. It&#8217;s the place where users can store their most used apps in order to make them more easily accessible than the rest of the apps on their systems. The user can just tap the <em>Side Button<\/em> to see their Watch face shrink back into a horizontal-sliding set of app snapshots (it is very similar to the interface for switching between different Watch Faces in watchOS 2). Apple&#8217;s press release says it is filled with users&#8217; &#8220;recent and favorite apps&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The Apple Watch&#8217;s <em>Side Button<\/em> has also picked up another new feature. From now on, the user can tap and hold on the button to activate SOS. This new feature on the Apple Watch is capable of calling emergency services no matter where the user may be on our planet. After holding down the <em>Side Button<\/em>, the user will see the SOS interface show up on the screen, with a countdown timer prominently displayed in the middle of the display. The countdown timer is destined to confirm that the user will not activate this important and may be life-saving feature by accident. In fact, once the countdown expires the Apple Watch will immediately contact the emergency services and notify your emergency contacts with your location and the fact that the user or may be someone near the user is in trouble.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-CA\" style=\"text-align: justify\">A very clever considered aspect of this feature is that &#8220;anywhere in the world&#8221; part which is now available. If the owner of the Apple Watch is in a different country, he or she may actually not even know the emergency services number. However the Apple Watch does know that number!
