Dell’s Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet isn’t a slim device, but it is durable enough to survive even when dropped. Its rubberized edges help protect it from a variety of bumps and scrapes that is bound to happen when using the tablet. You can almost not be afraid to spill coffee on this tablet without worrying about any harmful effects. This tablet is also equipped with a secure module chip and a fingerprint reader. Overall, Dell’s Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet has been very well designed to be tough and durable.

This tablet-computer has an 11.6-inch touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass 3, boasting a 1366×768 resolution. It has just one USB 3.0 port, and a mini-HDMI port for video output. Dell’s Latitude 12 Tablet has a full-HD webcam with a privacy shutter. The stylus helps with jotting notes and doing high-precision work on the 10-point multi-touch display. It has another camera on the back, an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash, which also comes with a privacy-shutter. The batteries can be popped out and changed. The keyboard accessory is backlit, allowing for use in low-light.

This computer is relatively heavy, as it weighs 3.6 pounds.

Dell’s Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet isn’t exactly cheap either. According to Dell’s website, it starts at $1,849. The tablet meets rigorous military-standard requirements, and is made with shock-absorbent materials and is compression-sealed from sand, dust, and liquids. No matter where you work, or where you travel, this tablet that has been tested for extreme conditions, and is proven by MIL-STD-810G and IP-810G certification. HZO® Protection has been applied as well to help keep the tablet safe from water, rain, and other environmental risks. This device is also backed by optional enterprise-level Dell ProSupport 24×7 to minimize downtime, all the time.

It may not be the most elegant and glamorous tablet in the world, but you can use Dell’s Latitude 12 anywhere, even if you decide climb Everest or go scuba-diving in Costa-Rica.
