Although the firm has not yet made a public announcement on the subject, it is expected that it will finally allow the installation of applications that are not on the App Store. On the other hand, it is expected that Apple will end its lockout of payments on the iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, we will have a less closed Apple ecosystem in 2024, at least in Europe. Moreover, the firm expects that the changes imposed by the DMA will affect its revenues.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, the European Union is imposing major transformations on the Apple ecosystem: as we have just said, the Cupertino firm has already abandoned its proprietary Lightning port to comply with the new requirements of the European Union which have been applied by the DMA, but the firm will also support the RCS technology, already used by Android, on iMessage.
