There are many networking websites. Professional networking such as LinkedIn allows people to maintain social capital, a crucial variable in today\u2019s job market. Social media comes in many shapes and forms. Facebook is by far the most popular, especially among college students. Studies have been done on this subject. Another study on the subject focused on self-presentation and self-image on Facebook. Researchers have empirically proven that Facebook users try to portray themselves in the best positive light. Many people invest a lot of time in Facebook, carefully crafting their online image.<\/p>\n

But what about dating? The dating game has also changed over the years. Now, it is possible to register on a dating website and interact with others, a likely fierce competition to matching agencies. But, there is a catch: people often lie on online profiles. So, the next time you see a profile that is too good to be true, remember the old saying \u201cif it seems too good to be true, it probably is\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
