{"id":2905,"date":"2016-05-22T15:26:22","date_gmt":"2016-05-22T15:26:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/igotoffer.com\/blog\/?p=2905"},"modified":"2017-11-28T15:54:52","modified_gmt":"2017-11-28T15:54:52","slug":"sell-ipad-online-fast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/igotoffer.com\/blog\/sell-ipad-online-fast","title":{"rendered":"Getting Ready to Sell iPad Online"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">Getting Ready to Sell iPad Online<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times;\">S<\/span>elling your iPad online<\/em>: Before you sell your used iPad mini 3 or iPad with Retina Display, make sure that you\u2019ve removed all of your personal data.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re ready to sell your iPad online, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Back up your iPad.<\/li>\n<li>Sign out of iCloud. To sign out of iCloud tap\u00a0<em>Settings &gt; iCloud<\/em>, then scroll down and tap <em>Sign Out<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Next, go to\u00a0<em>Settings &gt; General &gt; Reset<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, tap<em>\u00a0Erase All Content and Settings<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After you perform these actions, the iPad you are preparing for sale will be completely deleted. Any credit or debit cards you added to\u00a0<em>Apple Pay<\/em>\u00a0will be erased. Any apps, music, photos, documents, etc., will be erased too. By doing this, you also turn off all services, such as<em> FaceTime, iCloud, Game Center, <\/em>and <em>iMessages<\/em>. Your old device will be erased and removed from your account.<\/p>\n<p>You can configure your iPad to erase itself after ten consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting can be turned on by tapping\u00a0<em>Settings &gt; General &gt; Passcode Lock<\/em>. Note that this setting is set to off by default.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your iPad. In this case, you\u2019ll have to use the computer the iPad was last synced to.<\/p>\n<p>This will allow you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device, or restore from a backup. If you restore on a computer that was never synced with your iPad with Retina Display, you will be able to unlock the device and remove the passcode.<\/p>\n<p>After you sell your old iPad,\u00a0<em>Setup Assistance<\/em>\u00a0will guide the new owner through the setup process when they turn the iPad on for the first time. Note that your content won\u2019t be deleted from iCloud when you erase your iPad.<\/p>\n<h3>TRANSFER ICLOUD BACKUP TO A NEW DEVICE<\/h3>\n<p>If you want to transfer your iCloud backup to a new device, such as a new iPad, turn on the device. A\u00a0<em>Hello<\/em>\u00a0screen should now appear. If you\u2019ve already set up your new device, you need to erase it before you can follow these steps.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press the\u00a0<em>Home<\/em>\u00a0button when you see the\u00a0<em>Hello<\/em>\u00a0screen.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the steps until you see the\u00a0Wi-Fi\u00a0screen.<\/li>\n<li>Tap a\u00a0Wi-Fi\u00a0network to join, and follow the steps until you see the\u00a0<em>Apps &amp; Data<\/em> screen.<\/li>\n<li>Now, tap\u00a0<em>Restore\u00a0<\/em>from\u00a0iCloud <em>Backup &gt; Next<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Sign in to iCloud using your Apple ID and password.<\/li>\n<li>When asked, choose a backup. Make sure it\u2019s the correct one by checking the date and size of each. You may be asked to update to a newer version of iOS.<\/li>\n<li>If you purchased iTunes or App Store content using multiple Apple IDs, you\u2019ll be prompted to sign in to each. However, you can skip this step by tapping \u201cDon\u2019t have an Apple ID or forgot it\u201d, in case you can\u2019t remember the passwords.<\/li>\n<li>Now, just stay connected and wait for the restore process to finish, then complete the rest of the onscreen setup steps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Note:<\/em> If possible, keep your device connected to Wi-Fi and plugged into power after setup.
