Sync and Organize Music on Your iPhone<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s the Music<\/em> icon that gives you the option to control the process of syncing music to your iPhone. The icon allows you to add the music you want to have on your device.<\/p>\n

You must select \u201cSync Music\u201d in order to sync music to your iPhone. If you select \u201cEntire Music Library\u201d it will sync your whole iTunes music library to your phone. This works if your phone\u2019s storage is larger than the content of your library. If you do not have enough space on your phone you will not be able to sync all of your music. The option \u201cSync only checked songs and videos\u201d is useful if your iTunes library is larger than the iPhone\u2019s storage capacity. Uncheck the box to the left of any songs or videos you do not want to sync.<\/p>\n

You can choose to download only selected artists or playlists to your device. Sync playlists by selecting the boxes on the left, or all music by particular artists by selecting the boxes on the right. Sync all the music from an album or a particular genre, by selecting the boxes at the bottom.<\/p>\n

The option \u201cAutomatically sync when this iPhone is connected\u201d ensures that iTunes launches and syncs the iPhone when you connect it. You may need to uncheck this option if you connect your smartphone to multiple computers or play music through other computers.<\/p>\n

The option \u201cConvert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC\u201d lets you converts songs to the AAC format during syncing which is useful if your songs are encoded in other formats or at higher bit rates, which results in larger files.<\/p>\n

Another interesting option allows you to manually manage music and videos. It disables automated syncing and allows you to manually add and remove all content on your iPhone. This option is not recommended unless you have a particular reason.<\/p>\n

You can also add music videos and voice memos to your library and sync them to your phone as well.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTones\u201d tab allows you to manage ringtones. You can choose what ringtone you want to sync from iTunes to your iPhone. To sync ringtones, choose to sync either \u201cSelected Tones\u201d or \u201cAll tones.\u201d If you choose \u201cSelected Tones,\u201d choose what you want to sync by selecting the boxes next to each tone.<\/em><\/p>\n
