Surface Hub 55 Inches (Mid-2015)

Surface Hub 55 inches (Mid-2015) is the first interactive whiteboard designed and manufactured by Microsoft. It’s a high quality sensor display for viewing, modelling, drawing, handwriting either with a pen or a finger and videoconferencing. It doesn’t support TV screening. The matte LCD display sports 100-point multi-touch projective capacitance optically bonded sensor and 120 Hz refresh rate. It is flanked with two wide-angle HD cameras with a four-element microphone array each. The cameras are also equipped with infrared sensors and ambient light sensors to spot someone’s presence in the room. The light level in the room or data from infrared sensors prompts the hub to turn on or off.

  • This Microsoft Hub is big and has a beautiful touch screen. Let’s say it’s intelligent, meeting-focused custom version, which works well for whiteboard sessions and video conferences. It also has sensitive microphone arrays and includes self-charging digital pens. But it’s an expensive devise. Besides it requires an Exchange Server or an Office 365 for Business account along with Skype for Business. You’ll have to adjust your skills to it.
