For some tasks, you need to have an iPad. But, sometimes you need a different type of tablet depending on the task at hand. Manufactured by Panasonic, the Toughbook 20 is a fully rugged, lightweight (3.9 pounds) laptop, that detaches to become a 10.1″ tablet. Its clever built-in handle also functions as a kickstand, providing on-the-job flexibility. The gloved multi-touch display is sunlight-viewable, making this hybrid laptop perfect for rugged outdoor environments. The optional bridge battery allows hot swap battery replacement without disruption as well.
The Panasonic Toughbook 20 has been designed to be used in the field by police, military, field service, logistics, oil and gas and transportation. This computer meets military standards for electromagnetic interference as well as working through drops and extreme conditions. The case is magnesium alloy and includes a built-in handle that can be used as a kickstand or to hang the notebook. The detachable tablet also adheres to those military standards.
Panasonic included a backlit keyboard and the screen can be viewed in sunlight and has multi-touch capability with gloves.
Options include a magstripe or barcode reader, GPS and LTE.
