A blogger by the name of Joey Riz, tweeted the invitation to the OnePlus Keynote in NYC on May 14th where the new OnePlus 7 Pro will be presented. The Chinese company doesn’t beat around the bush, and gets right down to business.
I see you @oneplus. Taking out this front page, 4 page ad in the @nytimes… If this is any indication, the #OnePlus7Pro launch is going huge! Who else is coming May 14th NYC? pic.twitter.com/J54QXxnNfI— ⚡ Joey Riz ⚡ (@jerflash) April 29, 2019
The OnePlus 7 Pro features a curved all-screen 6.67″ QHD+ / Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED Display with a 90Hz / 60Hz refresh rate. Yes, the most amazing feature about this display is that it can automatically switch between HDR10+and QHD+ depending on the content and users’ behaviors. Switching between two modes also helps save the battery, as the battery life is still critical for large modern smartphones.
Speaking about common drawbacks of modern smartphones, I should mention water protection. Most models lack it completely, but the OnePlus 7 Pro does not have this issue. The company behind this phone even highlights the flagship feature with a bucket of water in their commercial.
Well, the video is great but how about a front motorized pop-up camera? It has 16MP and an electronic image stabilization and Auto-HDR, but what will happen if you drown the smartphone with the selfie cam out? Otherwise, cameras are great in the OnePlus 7 Pro. The smartphone features a triple main camera, including a telephoto and an ultra wide one. 48 MP, a phase detection autofocus, dual flash, HDR support and a panorama mode make this smartphone a must-have for Instagram fans.
Photos processing and storage demand a bigger memory and a greater storage capacity. The OnePlus 7 Pro sports no less than 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. An Indian insider Ishan Agarwal posted the list of OnePlus 7 Pro models on his Twitter.
Exclusive: Here’s the #OnePlus7Pro India Pricing:
6GB+128GB: ₹ 49,999
8GB+256GB: ₹ 52,999
12GB+256GB: ₹ 57,999

On the downside, users won’t be able to enlarge the storage because the OnePlus 7 Pro doesn’t support memory cards. GSMArena listed 7nm Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 and Adreno 640 as the hardware, but on the other hand, they don’t mention the 5G support, so it is not yet confirmed by the company. So, I’d take it with a pinch of salt.
The OnePlus 7 Pro comes in Mirror Grey and Nebula Blue colors, the price is still unknown for the US, but as the invitation says, it will be below $2000.
OnePlus 7 will get a smaller 6.2” AMOLED screen with less resolution and no 5G support. The only model will feature 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. So far as we can tell, these are the only differences between the Pro and no-Pro model.
