Wi-Fi connectivity on your portable Mac computer
If you are experiencing problems with Wi-Fi connectivity on your portable Mac, you should first determine what the issue is. Knowing what’s wrong will help you identify appropriate troubleshooting steps.

You may need to contact your ISP in order to restore your phone service while your modem is powered off. You will want to ensure that you have an alternate means to contact your ISP, such as a cell phone, to avoid delays in restoring your Internet or phone service.
