All versions of the iPad are very capable computers, complete with desktop-class architecture, Retina displays and all-day battery life. The light and thin iPad Air 2, takes those capabilities even further with Touch ID, the A8X chip, new cameras and the versatile Apple SIM.
Whatever sub model of the iPad you decide to go with when upgrading, Apple has your back with all the features available, the sharp and vibrant displays, the fast performance, the support needed when a problem arises as well as a well-built computer for the price that you pay.
Personally, I like to make a comparison chart of my new options when I am looking into upgrading my devices. Fortunately, the things that are important to me have already been thought of and included by the Apple company. There are a few things on both options that I really like, and highly recommend to anyone who buys a new iPad Mini or iPad Air.
The first thing that is not only convenient, but a major reason why I like Apple products, is their Activation Lock. This lock is designed to prevent anyone from using your iPad if you ever lose your device. It starts working the moment you turn on Find My iPhone. From then on, your Apple ID and password will be required before anyone can turn off Find My iPhone, try to erase the information on the iPad, or be able to reactivate it. This helps keep my information secure, even if it gets into the wrong hands.
Another really handy feature on the iPad is the Remote Erase. If you are selling your iPad or If you’re just worried that your device has fallen into the wrong hands, you may want to initiate a remote wipe, in order to delete your personal data and restore your iPad to its factory settings. Find My iPhone can continue to display your custom message, even after your device has been erased. And if you do retrieve your device, you can restore it from your iCloud backup.
If you are like me and plan on selling your old device to upgrade to a new one, be sure to erase it, in order to clear all your data for the next person! I always like to sell my old devices online so that I can get the best price for it. iGotOffer is a good place to go, since it’s quick, easy and trustworthy!
