Windows Vista is Gone. On April 11, 2017, Microsoft announced the official date of death of Windows Vista. From now on its customers will no longer receive new security updates, other hotfixes, patches, or online technical content updates from Microsoft. Ten years of shame are over. As Microsoft politely put it, “…the time has come for us, along with our hardware and software partners, to invest our resources towards more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences”.
