Apple Confirms WWDC 2026: How to Watch It, Dates, and Possible Announcements

The company led by Tim Cook is expected to present advances in iOS 27 and macOS 27, along with updates about the integration of Gemini with Siri. Apple has announced that the 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 8 to June 12. The event will include online activities and a special in-person day at Apple Park on June 8, the company led by Tim Cook indicated.

WWDC is a key event for Apple, where updates are revealed for the operating systems running on devices such as the iPhone, MacBook, and iPad. This year’s edition is expected to feature the presentations of the renewed iOS 27 and macOS 27, as well as new advances in the integration of Google’s Gemini with Siri.

For this edition, the company stated that WWDC26 will showcase “incredible advances across Apple’s platforms, including innovations in AI, new tools for developers, and software updates.”

Apple also noted: “WWDC will offer a unique opportunity to engage with Apple engineers and designers, and to get an up-close look at new technologies, development environments, and capabilities.”

What WWDC 2026 will be like

WWDC 2026 will begin on Monday, June 8, with the traditional Keynote and the Platforms State of the Union presentation.

Starting that day, the conference will continue online for the entire week, with more than 100 video sessions, interactive group labs, and consultation spaces where developers can interact directly with Apple’s engineering and design teams to explore the announcements in greater depth.

The special in-person event at Apple Park on June 8 will give students and developers the chance to watch the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union live, take part in labs and activities, and connect personally with Apple’s engineering and design teams. Admission to this in-person day will be limited.

Apple promotes student training in programming through the Swift Student Challenge. The winners of the 2026 edition will be notified on Thursday, March 26, and will be able to apply for attendance at the special event at Apple Park. Additionally, 50 participants will be recognized for the quality of their projects and invited to take part in a three-day experience in Cupertino.

What to expect from WWDC 2026

WWDC 2026 is generating expectations focused on the unveiling of iOS 27, macOS 27, and Apple’s other operating systems. Although the keynote will mainly focus on software, the appearance of new hardware has not been ruled out.

Apple-focused media outlets suggest that artificial intelligence will play a cross-platform role, driven by collaboration between Apple and Google.

They also anticipate the continuation of Liquid Glass, the design language introduced in iOS 26, which will be maintained and refined. According to leaks, Apple may add a setting to adjust the intensity of this design in response to user feedback following the 26.1 update.

Artificial intelligence is expected to play a central role, with the long-awaited new version of Siri expected in 2026 after several delays.

Apple has confirmed that the Apple Intelligence tools will run on models developed by Google, enabling new experiences and features, including a proprietary chatbot.

Finally, the conference will focus on development tools designed for professionals, as Apple recently announced the integration of Claude and Codex into Xcode, and the inclusion of new “vibe coding” solutions is anticipated.

What was presented at WWDC 2025

At the 2025 WWDC, Apple introduced a software update centered around the Liquid Glass design—a transparent, layered interface—along with deeper integration of artificial intelligence.

The announcements included iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26.
