Microsoft Surface Studio (Intel Core i5, Late 2016) is the first 2-in-1 desktop with the touchscreen designed and manufactured by Microsoft. It consists of a 28-inch 4.5K “PixelSense” display on a U-shaped stand with Zero Gravity Hinge mounted on a square base. The ultra-thin display with the bezel edge can be lowered to 20º for more comfortable drawing, writing and browsing. Surface Studio is a Skylake powered system with a discrete graphic card and a hybrid drive aboard. Microsoft Surface Studio (Intel Core i5, Late 2016) touch screen supports 10 touches, the handwriting and drawing with a Surface digital pen and the on-screen manipulating with the Surface Dial. Microsoft Surface Dial – Full Information

Surface Dial is the new mouse-like manipulator, developed and manufactured by Microsoft. It’s a puck-shaped spin-and-click gadget in magnesium casing with rubber sole to give the dial the better grip onto the glass display. Surface Dial runs on two non-rechargeable AAA batteries from the box. It connects to the system via Bluetooth 4.0 LE and is compatible with Surface Studio only. Surface Dial is manipulated by spinning and clicking. It has a haptic vibration motor for better feedback. When on the table Surface Dial works like a mouse, but being put on the display it works like a dial, triggering the context programmable menu. Surface Dial can control volume, zoom in and out, scroll the colors gamut and navigate the screen. Surface Dial supports the following applications: Plumbago, Word, Excel, One Note, Office 365, Windows Maps, Groove Music, Autodesk AutoCAD, Sketchable. (more…)

Windows Surface Studio (Late 2016) is the is the first all-in-one desktop system with touch screen created and manufactured by Microsoft under Surface brand name. It’s a powerful designing tool meant for designers, artists, illustrators and engineers. Microsoft states (and we quote) that “Surface Studio, with its strikingly large and incredibly thin 28” PixelSense Display, lets you visualize ideas as you paint, edit, and design.
