The MacBook 2,1 or the original polycarbonate MacBook (13-inch, Late 2006) and MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2007) laptop was thicker than its predecessor – the iBook G4, – but wider, due to its widescreen display. The original MacBook 1,1 and its version 1,2 released in November 2006, five months later, adopted Apple’s MagSafe power connector.

The MacBook 1,1 (13-inch, Original 2006) or the Original MacBook model used a combination of polycarbonate and fiberglass casing which was modeled after the iBook G4. The original polycarbonate MacBook laptop was thicker than its predecessor – the iBook G4, – but wider, due to its widescreen display. The original MacBook adopted Apple’s MagSafe power connector.

iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen

The iPod shuffle 2nd gen is titled as the most wearable iPod ever and the smallest MP3 player in the world, which it undoubtedly was back then. The sole 1 Gb model in an aluminum case is half the size of the previous model and the size of the Apple Remote Control. It has a built-in clip for comfortable wear. The control buttons (power\shuffle\not shuffle) are separated to avoid an accidental clicking. As for the software, the iPod shuffle 2nd gen is formatted in FAT32 and can’t support Apple Lossless playback due to low processing power. The device also lost the USB stick and the connectivity is provided via a headphone jack-USB piece of hardware to charge and load. (more…)

iPod Classic 5th Generation Enhanced – Full Information

The iPod classic 5th Generation Enhanced was introduced instead of a much awaited iPod classic 6 on the 12th of September, 2006. It is also referred to as “iPod 5.5 Generation”. The 2.5 inch screen became up to 60% brighter and the user could adjust the brightness both in Settings menu and while watching video. The iPod classic 5th Gen Enhanced had 30 Gb or 80 Gb hard drive onboard and better battery life. Yet, it was true for photos slideshow and video playback while for music playback the battery life remained the same as in the previous model.
