September 12, 2017 at 2:30 pm ET: FaceID: One in a million, but a lower chance if you have an “evil twin”. The FaceID system requires your attention to unlock, you can’t have your eyes closed or be looking away. Phil Schiller says FaceID won’t work with a photo or a mask. As you would expect, all the processing is done on the phone on a secure chip. No data is sent to Apple.

September 12, 2017 at 2:26 pm ET: iPhone X has no Home button. Just open the phone or go “home” by swiping up. You can also press a side button for Siri – side button for Siri.
September 12, 2017 at 2:21 pm ET: The iPhone X (or iPhone 10). It is all glass on the front. And yes, you say it “iPhone Ten”. The so-called super retina screen is 5.8 inches, and uses OLED tech. The iPhone X has 2436 x 1125 resolution, 458 ppi screen. It’s the highest ever pixel density in an iPhone.

September 12, 2017 at 2:15 pm ET: The iPhone has wireless charging, using the Qi standard. That’s why the back of the iPhone 8 is glass. Wireless charging is something many Android phones have offered for years.

Some special tuning of the lenses, sensors and processors to make it more smooth, they say. New cameras are calibrated for AR and new gyroscopes and sensors.
